Sewer repair
So what will it be: trenched or trenchless sewer repair? These days, thankfully, you have a choice!

I first had Pielak Plumbing scope my very old sewer for a new ADA bathroom addition I was putting in. I was very impressed with his work then and wish I'd had him do the plumbing for the whole bathroom because the company that did it was terrible.

I have since had Steve replace my sewer line (which we discovered from the scoping was in dire need) and he did a great job. He coordinated with the city when they were repairing the main sewer line to save me a lot of money. He discovered my main water line was rusted out and repaired that for me at very low cost and did his best to save and replant my plants and return my yard to its original condition.

When my basement flooded shortly after he came out in the middle of the night to see what he could do to help, even though it turned out to be a gutter problem. - Susanna
If your property isn't yet landscaped and your future lawn and gardens are merely sitting on your vision board right now, repairing your sewer the old-fashioned way is probably less expensive because you won't have to worry about restoring your property to showcase condition when the work is done.

But if you've invested heavily in landscaping, gardens, walkways, patios, curbing, and other features that will take a beating if you do things the old-fashioned way, you can actually come out ahead by going with trenchless sewer repair when that's an option. (It isn't always; a lot depends on which aspects of your sewer need repairing.)

Whatever you decide to do, make sure you hire an ace plumber with decades of experience. You'll probably only have to do this once at your present location as long as you make sure it gets done right the first time.

We needed to have the sewer pipe to our 90 year old house burst, which was a tricky situation because of the garage and large tree so it needed to be done from the alley. It required a lot of coordination with the City of Tacoma. The work was done on schedule and Steve organized everything. We felt confident we were in good hands. We had several bids and his was the best. We couldn't be happier. - C. Woodhams

Steven Pielak has a list of credentials as long as his arm. A certified laser technician, he is certified as a CDL Class A driver, waste water treatment OIT, water treatment OIT, and has a water management 1 designation and two years of training in waste water collection.

I own an 85 year old home. A couple of years ago the main sewer line broke as it exited the house. As a good homeowner I got several estimates prior to having the work done. As the sewer line was surveyed it became clear it was an old system in need of much repair. In a state of panic--not having the $10,000-$15,000 dollars I was being quoted-I spoke with many friends to get advice. Found a friend who knew a coworker with the same problem. He was pretty certain it didn't cost her nearly that much. Several days later, he called with the name: Steve Pielak. What a God send! He came in way under all the other estimates. The work was professionally completed within the time frame he promised. - Sabrina

But what it all boils down to is this: Steve has dedicated his life and career to serving his Tacoma neighbors with every ounce of his being.
